《Versace on the floor》最初有六個版本，布魯諾·馬爾斯希望歌詞內容能表達曾給女友說過的情話。但是布魯諾·馬爾斯認為最初的小樣帶版本帶著濃烈的果汁朗姆酒氣息，這不是他想要的。
於是布魯諾·馬爾斯與團隊壹遍遍地調整節拍。最終，布魯諾·馬爾斯的團隊讓該曲的最後壹個版本的副歌部分很有大人小孩雙拍檔的感覺。該曲的錄制在美國加州的伯班克錄音室完成。
